Laundry Room Functional and Aesthetic Redo ON A BUDGET–Part 1

Welcome to the second TD redo, that is not quite to the “tah-dah” stage. All my to-do’s are not yet “to-done,” so you’re getting a progress report of the Laundry room redo, along with pictures. And hopefully some special encouragement and takeaways (if you’d like to make your laundry room (or ANY room) more functional–even if you don’t want to dive in to an involved project!

More about this further down in the post...

Rather than work crazy long hours into the weekend (and probably STILL have to cut corners) just to get things photo-ready, especially THIS weekend, I’m going to break it up into a two-parter. And hopefully address MOST of the rest of the punch list in time for next week’s post.

Want to be Oily? Essential Oils: A BASIC Beginner’s Guide

Most everyone who knows me knows I’m a little oily. No, not greasy… ESSENTIAL-oily—meaning I love me some essential oils. I’m an “investigator” by nature, so when I first stumbled onto people touting the myriad benefits of essential oils (at a homeschool conference, no doubt), I began doing my own research. I wish then I’d had a trusted friend to answer all my questions. OR a basic beginner’s guide…

“Extreme” Home Makeover Plans for 2021

Do you love a good make-over like I do?? I love all kinds, but especially home transformations. I plan to use my love of all things makeover to inspire myself to show some love mostly to the interior of my home this year, since I haven’t done so in a minute (that means YEARS!!).

(Not my house)

I’m starting this month, since I’ve used January to try to pick myself up and dust myself off from 2020, as well as to PLAN! So let’s think of this as the Extreme Home Makeover: Low Budget Edition. Want Better Coffee? Try the Pour-Over Method

Do you ever wonder if there is a better way to brew your coffee? Have you ever had a pour-over coffee? Have you ever considered using such a pared-down method at home?

I know, I ask a lot of questions, but this is important! It could affect how your whole DAY begins!!

After experiencing a growing dissatisfaction with each successive coffee-maker I’ve owned over the years, and being unwilling to go the pod route (so much waste!), I went in search of a new groove for my morning routine.

Why Try a Trello Digital Christmas List?

Why should you try a Trello digital Christmas list? What even is a Trello digital Christmas list?? Read on to find out…

Because your gift, your gift is on my list…

It’s beginning to look a lot like the time of year to write out the Christmas list. (Need some gift ideas? Click here) And here’s the difficult decision you must tackle before even getting started:

To be (digital) or not to be?

To go digital or go analog? That is the question. Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to return to the tactile tradition of paper and pencil or rather to succumb to the seduction of electronic apps and in so doing to end ongoing disorganization…

A Few of My Favorite Things

Whoa, y’all!  Anybody else surprised that it’s suddenly mid-October already?? My husband keeps teasing me by telling me exactly how many days left until Christmas, because just like the rest of the world, we’re walking around a little shell-shocked over the roller coaster that has been 2020.

So instead of spending time analyzing what happened to March through September (!), I’m just going to dive into something fun (or at least it should be!) for a change.

Here goes: How do you tackle approach the gargantuan task joy of Christmas shopping?
